WWW Architecture
WWW stands for World Wide Web. The Internet is entirely different from WWW. It is a worldwide network of devices like computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. WWW is a communication platform for users to retrieve and exchange information over the internet.
Web architecture is the conceptual structure of the World Wide Web. In March 1989, Tim Berners-Lee who was working at CERN took the initiative towards the invention of WWW and wrote the first proposal for the World Wide Web.
As a conceptual prototype, he developed the first Web client navigator-browser in 1990 for the NeXTStep platform. In 1991, Tim created the world’s first website and Web Server. Its address was info.cern.ch, and it was running at CERN on the NeXT computer.
