Introduction to Web
The web started as a way to serve simple text based information mainly for governments and research purposes.
Now the web consists of both text and graphical content in innumerable computers scattered across the globe connected through wired and wireless networks.
Billions of clients and servers are the main chunk of the web. A server is a physical computer connected to the network and dedicated to run services to serve the needs of other computers.
The web client makes requests to a server. Web server receives the request and returns a response in HTML(HyperText Markup Language) format to the client computer. Web browser interprets the markup and displays it.
